Section 1

Booking & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed once the Client has submitted a booking request — via our website, by email, or in person — and the Company has issued a written Booking Confirmation. No contract exists until a Booking Confirmation has been sent and the required deposit has been received.

How to Book

  • Complete the booking form on the relevant tour page at desertsaharalife.com.
  • Alternatively, contact us directly by email via our contact page.
  • Provide accurate personal details for all participants: full names as they appear on passports, nationalities, and any relevant health information.
  • On scheduled group departures, places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of the deposit.

Accuracy of Information

The Client is responsible for ensuring all information provided at booking is accurate and complete. Desert Sahara Life cannot be held liable for issues arising from incorrect information, including wrong travel dates, misspelled names, or undisclosed medical conditions.

Section 2

Payment Terms

Deposit

A deposit of 20% of the total tour price is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. For private and bespoke tours, the deposit amount will be confirmed in your personalised quote.

Balance Payment

The remaining balance is due no later than 14 days before the Departure Date. For bookings made within 14 days of departure, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

Accepted Payment Methods

  • Bank transfer (details provided in your Booking Confirmation)
  • Credit or debit card via our secure online payment link
  • Cash on arrival in Moroccan Dirham (MAD) or Euros — for in-person bookings only, subject to prior agreement

All prices are quoted and charged in Euros (€). Bank transfer charges are the responsibility of the Client. Prices are subject to change without notice prior to booking confirmation.

Section 3

Cancellation Policy

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email. Cancellations made 14 days or more before departure are completely free of charge — including a full refund of your deposit. The following charges apply for cancellations within 14 days of departure:

Notice Period Before Departure Cancellation Charge
14 days or more Free cancellation — full refund (deposit included)
8 – 13 days 50% of total tour price
2 – 7 days 75% of total tour price
Less than 48 hours / no-show 100% of total tour price — no refund

Cancellation by Desert Sahara Life

Desert Sahara Life reserves the right to cancel any tour in exceptional circumstances, including natural disasters, severe weather, political unrest, government travel advisories, or insufficient participant numbers. In such cases, the Client will be offered a full refund, a credit note, or the option to reschedule. The Company will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by the Client such as flights or independent accommodation.

Scheduled group departures require a minimum of 3 participants. If this minimum is not reached, the Company will notify the Client at least 21 days before departure and offer alternative options.

Section 4

Traveller Responsibilities & Health Requirements

By booking with Desert Sahara Life, all Clients agree to:

  • Arrive punctually at all meeting points and departure times confirmed in the itinerary.
  • Follow all safety instructions given by Desert Sahara Life guides and drivers at all times.
  • Behave respectfully towards guides, staff, local communities, wildlife, and the natural desert environment.

Health & Fitness

Many activities, including multi-day trekking in Erg Chegaga and Erg Zahar, require a reasonable level of physical fitness. Clients must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, disabilities, or allergies that may affect safe participation. Desert Sahara Life reserves the right to exclude any participant if their participation would pose a risk to themselves or others.

Age Requirements

  • Multi-day trekking tours: recommended minimum age of 14 years.
  • Camel rides and overnight desert camps: suitable for all ages; children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
  • Private tours can often be adapted for families with younger children — please contact us to discuss your requirements.
